Just a few miles from the soaring cliffs and wide surfing beaches of the North Devon coast, these privately owned lodges are ideally situated for enjoying the county’s popular coastline, pretty villages and national parks. Surrounded by a golf club (members only) on a countryside estate with fishing lakes, they sit just 4 miles from picturesque Clovelly. Fabulous beaches for relaxing and surfing at Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay are all within easy reach as are the bustling resort of Bude, the spectacular coastal pathways around Hartland Point and the market town of Bideford with boat trips to Lundy, England’s only marine nature reserve. To the north lies Exmoor National Park: a beautiful setting for the resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, with its wild landscapes and stunning coastline. Family attractions such as Big Sheep and Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and Atlantic Village shopping outlet are nearby; to the south lies the rugged Dartmoor National Park. Eden Project, 1 hour’s drive. Hartland, 4 miles, has sea angling, riding and golf. Coarse fishing is available on the lodge park’s grounds (permit provided). Shop/PO and pub serving food 2 miles.
Accommodation
Three bedrooms. This very comfortable lodge has prime position overlooking the lake with uninterrupted views of all the wildlife in the area. Attractive open plan sitting room with well equipped kitchen and dining area. Double bedroom with 5' bed and ensuite bathroom/WC (shower over bath). Two twin bedded rooms. Shower room/WC.
